Examples of Point of Interest

Here are some examples of what drone cinematography calls a Point of Interest. These are made by making a very smooth circular video of a building or some other object. Each example is a bit different. The POI can focus on a central spot and flies around it or the video shows the surrounding scene, from the point of view of the object. There are also variations of this show here.

The first example is of a private home. The drone flies around the home, while keeping the home in frame as it circles 360 degrees.

This is the Manchester View, a luxury hotel complex just outside Manchester, Vermont. The client asked us to show the valley to the north of the Manchester View as well as the aerial view of the complex.

Here is another use of  drone footage or Point of Interest, is a quick fly around of the village of Quechee Village, the Simon Pearce restuaurant, and covered bridge.

This POI is of Island Pond, taken from the point of view the downtown area and the big lumber yard.

This one of the first Point of of Interests I did. It’s an aerial view of the Old Stonehouse in Brownington, Vermont

The Echo Lake Inn, in Plymouth is a popular spot for skiers at nearby Okemo. It is also a popular spot for weddings in the Fall. This POI segment was used in a recent wedding video to introduce the film.

Manchester Village, Vermont is dominated by the Equinox Mountain with the Equinox Hotel complex at the foot of it. This POI circles Manchester Village and shows Mt. Equinox in the background.
